We all love to embroider, right? We get excited thinking about all the beautiful projects to make for ourselves and others. But there is nothing more frustrating that constantly having to watch your machine because the thread keeps breaking!! I don’t know if this has happened to you, but it sure has happened to me.
Enter a new embroidery thread called Simthread. I cannot say enough about this thread!! It sews like a dream, with not thread breakage!! I didn’t know that was a possibility until I tried Simthread, and now I am a huge fan of it. The colors are absolutely beautiful, the prices are unbeatable and the quality is excellent. Be sure to check it out! I don’t think you will regret it!
Here we are at the beginning of a new year. Like a blanket of fresh fallen snow awaiting our footprints! Have you taken time to think about some of the things you would like to accomplish this year? Would you like to have a more productive year? Are you happy with where you are, or do you need to make some changes? These are some of the questions I have asked myself. And the answer for me is two-fold. One involves my personal life and the other involves my business.
2018 was a hard year in many ways, health wise as well as business. I look forward to 2019 being a better year all the way around. I am going to apply myself to making whatever changes I need to make to grow my business. I have worked, really hard, to get to where I am, and I am willing to work even harder to get to where I need to be. My biggest battle is trying to get my name out there so that I can stand a chance of competing in this world of embroidery! I think some people are under the impression that if you have an embroidery business you are rolling in dough! I wish!! The truth of the matter is if you have an embroidery business, you have entered into a very stiff market with loads of competition. That part I can handle. I just need help getting my name out as a business! This is very hard to do unless you have loads of money to pour into advertising, and I sure don’t!! So the only other way I can think of to get my name out is to ask you, my customers and fans to spread the word on forums, with friends that embroider, on social media and anywhere else you can think of. Also I would appreciate it if you would pin, pin, pin my designs on Pinterest!
I want to personally thank all of you that have purchased from me, and I truly hope you have enjoyed your purchases. I would like to see my business take off this year and you can help. I appreciate your support, and I pray 2019 will be a year of great blessings to each of you!
We are just minutes away from November! Can you believe it? This year has seemed to fly by and is quickly coming to an end. Wow!! The holidays are upon us. Are you ready? Have you began to make holiday plans?
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times. Our family usually gathers to have a traditional Thanksgiving meal, turkey and dressing, along with all our favorite side dishes. And in our house, prior to the meal, we all gather around and say something for which we are thankful. It is a sweet time, sometimes funny, sometimes tearful, but it warms my heart! Then we pray and thank the Lord for all the blessings He has so richly given us. Can you tell I love the holidays?
Barely finishing Thanksgiving, we head full speed ahead toward Christmas which is also a favorite holiday of mine. From the shopping to the twinkling Christmas lights, I love it all! I love the look of joy and excitement on the faces of small children. Of course, there are sentimental times as well, thinking of past Christmases with loved ones that are no longer with us. But I think one of the things I love most about the Christmas season is the fact that for me, it is a giving season. I love doing things for others! And embroidering gifts for others is a blessing I enjoy! And I love the touch of class it brings, from FSL ornaments on the tree, stockings to hang, garments to wear, and even decorating the bathroom with festive embroidered towels, just to name a few ideas. And don’t forget the embroidered TP for that hard to buy for friend or relative!
Yes, it is a busy time of year, but it is my goal to create beautiful designs to make your holidays bright!! So, let’s get busy and stitch up some beautiful gifts for family and friends!!
September has made it’s appearance, and with it cooler temperatures.(In most places!) Here in the South, the fall brings much needed relief from the sweltering hot days of the summer. Don’t get me wrong, I love the summer!! I am a beach person at heart! Nothing soothes my heart quite like a stroll on the beach, letting the waves tickle my toes as I search for the treasures the waves have washed up, just for me!! To be honest with you, the beach never goes out of style with me, regardless of the season.
With the approach of Fall, I begin to think of campfires on a chilly night. Nothing quite like gathering around a campfire sharing tales, roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. I love to take photographs and the colors of fall are amazing to me. With the slightest breeze the leaves slowly twirl to the ground. It’s almost hypnotic to watch them! Butterflies seem to be everywhere too.
I could go on and on about Fall, but the main thing I need to point out is that the holidays are quickly approaching. Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas! If we start now, we can be prepared with beautiful gifts for our families and friends. To me, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone open a gift that I made especially for them. The look on their faces make it all worthwhile. And who doesn’t love to decorate for the holidays? Embroidery adds a touch of class to all your holiday decor.
Throughout September and October, I will be focusing on embroidery designs to help you make your holidays special. On my Sale page, I will be listing random “older” designs along with the new ones at intro price. Intro pricing will last for 1 week from the date I list it. Be sure to watch the Sale page, you don’t want to miss something!
Enjoy the cooler weather, along with the beautiful colors, but don’t forget to get your embroidery machines stitching out something beautiful to put a smile on someone’s face!! Happy Stitching!!!
Wow, here it is August! Where has this year gone?? It seems to have flown by in a blur, and here we are with the end of Summer quickly approaching. I hope you and your family have enjoyed the summer and made lots of memories to cherish. I have enjoyed the summer, with a trip to the beach with my son and his family and enjoyed watching my granddaughter play in the sand and watching the waves tickle our toes as we gathered sea treasures along the water’s edge. I also was blessed to be able to fly with my husband to New Mexico to visit my son and his family that live there. It was so good to be able to spend time with them, we have missed them so much! Our son took us to many different places while there and while it is so different from Alabama, it has it’s own beauty! We visited several parks, and saw the Pecos River, which is very beautiful, and made lots of memories to treasure while there. But I must say, I have never seen so many windmills! They are everywhere!! I also had a close encounter with a Western Coach Whip, which I was able to photograph.(pictures on my fan page on FB) It was a great trip, and we had a wonderful time while there.
As we see the summer winding down, we see the approach of school starting, and all the activities involved with it! Football season is right here at us, are you ready to support your favorite team? My husband is getting cranked up as we speak!! He is a BIG Alabama Crimson Tide fan!! You can feel the excitement in the air!!
And I must say, I think the rest of the year will seem to fly by as well. Are you thinking Fall, Thanksgiving and Christmas yet? I find myself thinking along those lines, and I plan to have a lot of new designs for you to choose from to make your holidays brighter! But for now, enjoy the last month of summer and don’t forget to keep a check for new designs!!
Well here we are, over half way through 2018! Wow!! Hard to believe that Christmas is less than 6 months away!! With that in mind, I would like to announce my Christmas in July sale. I will be adding Christmas designs to the On Sale page each week throughout the month of July. They will be posted for one week, then they will be taken down and others will replace them. Be sure to check back each week so you won’t miss a Christmas design you have had your eyes on. Time for Santa’s little elves to get busy, busy, busy! LOL
Truthfully, now would be a great time to start working on the Christmas projects we all want to do, but somehow time just slips away from us, and Ho, Ho, Ho, Christmas is here!
Christmas is one of my favorite holidays. When I think of Christmas, I think of the sparkle in a little child’s eyes as they get caught up in the magic of Christmas. I think of family and friends gathered to share a holiday meal and warm cozy nights looking at the beautiful lights and decorations that bring back memories of Christmases past and the hope of new ones to be shared with loved ones. But the most important thing about Christmas, to me, is the gift that came down from heaven, Jesus, bringing love, hope, joy and peace.
As an embroiderer, I love the look I see on the faces of the people receiving a gift I made for them. What a joy to be able to put a smile on their face!! I would rather give than receive, and is there any better gift than one from your heart and made with love?
So, let us get busy stitching up treasures for all the special people in our lives! My wish for you is that this will be a Christmas full of love and joy!!
